Philippine Airlines, celebrating the Heart of Filipino Christmas

This Christmas season, Philippine Airlines released two videos that depict the main core values of a Filipino Christmas Celebration, which is JOY, HAPPINESS, AND HOPE.

The first video entitled “Foreigners Love Celebrating Paskong Pinoy” is a fun and festive take on how foreigners celebrate Christmas here in the Philippines, while singing a Ryan Cayabyab iconic Filipino Christmas song “Kumukutikutitap”. Aside from our traditional decors, parols and festive banquet, foreigners also go to the Philippines to enjoy our beaches and different sights. This video also shows the unique hospitality and festive mood of the Filipinos.

As a moving tribute to our overseas Filipino Workers or “Bagong Bayani”, the second video entitled “Para Sa Ating Mga Bagong Bayani, Ito ang Bumubuo sa Paskong Pinoy”  is about reunions and homecomings. If there is one wish that our hard-working OFWs have during Christmas, it is to be home with their families this joyous season. In this video, we salute the hard work and sacrifices that our OFWs have to endure, especially those who will not be able to spend Christmas and New Year with their families and loved ones. As what the song “Sana Ngayong Pasko” says, “sana ngayong pasko ay maalala mo pa rin ako, hinahanap-hanap pag –ibig mo; At kahit wala ka na, nangangarap at umaasa pa rin ako, muling Makita ka at makasama ka sa araw ng Pasko.”

All over the world, wherever there is a Filipino, we can truly see, taste and experience our “Paskong Pinoy”. Philippine Airlines endeavors in bringing us closer to our loved ones and to celebrate the Heart of Filipino Christmas.

Philippine Airlines unveils a more rewarding Mabuhay Miles Program

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines today unveiled a revitalized Mabuhay Miles Program, in keeping with the company's goal to provide its valued clientele greater mileage rewards, expanded program-partner options, more flexibility in earning and redeeming miles, additional travel perks and ancillary offerings.

The enhanced loyalty program now offers greater seat availability per flight for rewards redemption which will provide members the chance to convert miles to seats even on peak season.

More partnerships are slated to be forged with establishments representing the five pillars of the Mabuhay Miles Program – flying, shopping, dining, driving and unwinding.

At present, the frequent flyer program’s industry program partners are: financial institutions, hotels, telecommunications, foreign airlines and other travel-related companies.

Soon-to-be-introduced service innovations are the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card and the myPALshop.

The Mabuhay Miles Travel Card is the only multi-currency prepaid card in the market that allows a member to earn and redeem miles for every purchase made with partner-merchants while the myPALshop will be PAL’s online store where one can shop (hotel deals, car rentals, tours and recreation packages, health, fashion, beauty and electronic items) and earn miles.

"We envision the Mabuhay Miles Program to be one of the key drivers in making Philippine Airlines the 'airline of choice'. We thank our loyal patrons for their all-out support through the years. They are part of the PAL family and deserve the best offerings. We shall provide our frequent flyers a more rewarding mileage and rewards program," stressed PAL President and COO Jaime J. Bautista. The relaunch of the PAL Mabuhay Miles Program, held at the grand ballroom of the City of Dreams, was graced by more than a hundred loyalty program members and PAL officials led by Chairman & CEO Dr. Lucio C. Tan, President &COO Jaime J. Bautista, EVP and Chief Administrative Officer Stewart Lim, VP-Ancillary Business Group Kevin Hartigan-Go and AVP - Loyalty Program Group Marietta Casanova, among others.

“Mabuhay Miles is more than just a frequent flyer program. It has become a symbol of PAL commitment to delight its loyal customers, providing perks and privileges that are at par and even beyond its competitors,” stressed PAL VP for Ancillary Business Group Kevin Hartigan – Go.

PAL thanked its sponsors for the relaunch of its Mabuhay Miles program, namely: Century Park Hotel, City of Dreams, Bluewater Maribago, Bluewater Sumilon, Bluewater Panglao, Diamond Hotel, Dusit Thani Hotel Manila, Henann Resort Bohol, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, Marco Polo Cebu, Marco Polo Davao, Pan Pacific Hotel Manila, Pico Sands Hotel, Taal Vista Hotel, Power MAC Center, Asia Brewery Incorporated, Camus Phils., Futuretrade, Premier Wines and Spirits and Hertz Car Rental.
