Flag carrier Philippine Airlines today unveiled a revitalized Mabuhay Miles Program, in keeping with the company's goal to provide its valued clientele greater mileage rewards, expanded program-partner options, more flexibility in earning and redeeming miles, additional travel perks and ancillary offerings.
The enhanced loyalty program now offers greater seat availability per flight for rewards redemption which will provide members the chance to convert miles to seats even on peak season.
More partnerships are slated to be forged with establishments representing the five pillars of the Mabuhay Miles Program – flying, shopping, dining, driving and unwinding.
At present, the frequent flyer program’s industry program partners are: financial institutions, hotels, telecommunications, foreign airlines and other travel-related companies.
Soon-to-be-introduced service innovations are the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card and the myPALshop.
The Mabuhay Miles Travel Card is the only multi-currency prepaid card in the market that allows a member to earn and redeem miles for every purchase made with partner-merchants while the myPALshop will be PAL’s online store where one can shop (hotel deals, car rentals, tours and recreation packages, health, fashion, beauty and electronic items) and earn miles.
"We envision the Mabuhay Miles Program to be one of the key drivers in making Philippine Airlines the 'airline of choice'. We thank our loyal patrons for their all-out support through the years. They are part of the PAL family and deserve the best offerings. We shall provide our frequent flyers a more rewarding mileage and rewards program," stressed PAL President and COO Jaime J. Bautista.
